We are very proud to welcome the National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO) as a new member of the IRU – International Raiffeisen Union network.
With NATCCO joining our community, we are especially pleased to welcome our first member organisation from the Philippines – an important milestone for us.
Founded in 1977, NATCCO is a national confederation of cooperatives that has been supporting and strengthening cooperative enterprises across the Philippines for several decades. As a leading umbrella organisation, it brings together a large number of primary cooperatives from different sectors and regions of the country and represents their interests at national level.
Through its wide range of services, NATCCO supports its member cooperatives in areas such as organisational development, capacity building and training, access to financial and technical services, and the promotion of good governance and sustainable business practices. A strong focus lies on empowering members, strengthening local communities and contributing to inclusive and sustainable socio-economic development.
We are especially pleased to build on the positive cooperation we have already enjoyed with NATCCO over the last year, including their strong participation in the Raiffeisen Ambassador Training, where many NATCCO members contributed actively and engaged in mutual learning.
The admission of NATCCO further enriches our network with valuable perspectives from Southeast Asia and strengthens the global dimension of the cooperative and Raiffeisen movement within IRU.
We are delighted to welcome NATCCO to the IRU family and very much look forward to a close and fruitful cooperation, mutual learning and joint initiatives in the years to come.
