At its General Assembly on June 25, the Austrian Raiffeisen Association (ÖRV) elected Erwin Tinhof as its new President. The long-serving Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisenlandesbank Burgenland succeeds Erwin Hameseder, who is leaving this position after four years at his own request. Alongside Erwin Tinhof, the new ÖRV Presidium comprises his three deputies: Volkmar Angermeier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich; Michael Göschelbauer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisen Ware Austria; and Franz Titschenbacher, Chairman of Raiffeisenverband Steiermark.
In his inaugural address to the General Assembly, the new President of the Austrian Raiffeisen Association emphasised the importance of active cooperation across the sector: “At Raiffeisen, the power of ‘we’ will take centre stage. The Austrian Raiffeisen Association is the national organisation and umbrella of the Raiffeisen family. It will continue to provide impetus for the sector. Together with my three deputies, I intend to carry forward this role of the ÖRV. I look forward to working together.” Tinhof identified digitalisation, raising awareness of Raiffeisen’s regional strength, and attracting new cooperative members as priorities for the coming term of office.
