Raiffeisen Expedition: Immersing in Cooperative History and Engaging with Local Leadership
After the delegates of the IRU General Meeting had visited the Mayschoss Altenahr Winery Cooperative, the following Raiffeisen Expedition Day 2 was an enriching experience that allowed our members to delve deeper into the cooperative heritage and engage with local leadership committed to cooperative principles.
🏛️ Raiffeisen Museum Visit: The day began with a visit to the Raiffeisen Museum in Hamm(Sieg), a place where history comes alive. Participants explored the origins of cooperatives and Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen’s pioneering ideas that laid the foundation for cooperative movements worldwide. It was an insightful journey into the roots of our cooperative legacy.
🗣️ Dynamic Discussions with Mayor Dietmar Henrich: Following the museum visit, our members had the privilege of engaging with Mayor Dietmar Henrich of Hamm(Sieg). Mayor Henrich shared his profound insights into the region, highlighting the pivotal role cooperatives play in driving economic growth and fostering community development. The discussions were vibrant and inspiring, showcasing the power of cooperation.
