The IRU recently took part in the RaiffeisenCamp 2024 organized by the Deutsche Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen Gesellschaft. Manuel Hanselmann from the Austrian Raiffeisen Association (ÖRV) along with Korbinian März, Coordinator at IRU, conducted a workshop titled “Cooperatives International – Exploring Beyond Borders” with 20 young cooperators. The workshop aimed to explore the dimensions and significance of cooperatives worldwide. Participants engaged in discussions about how cooperatives provide solutions to practical challenges and create value for their members and society as a whole.
During the workshop, attendees delved into the diversity of cooperatives worldwide, learning about unique cooperative models that offer innovative solutions to real-world problems. Through group work, participants gained insights into the various ways cooperatives contribute to their communities and promote socio-economic development.
The RaiffeisenCamp 2024, themed “Days Like These,” brought together over 40 cooperative professionals. The participants also visited the cooperative DZ BANK and the Academy of German Cooperatives in Montabaur, nestled in the scenic Westerwald region. Workshops and networking sessions were held to foster collaboration and exchange of ideas among participants.
