This week marks the start of the next journey in our Raiffeisen Ambassador Programme – a six-month learning and exchange process that brings together cooperators from around the world to strengthen their knowledge on cooperative principles and values, history, identity, membership and international best practices and case studies.
This cohort just started represents a truly global community, with participants from Austria, Italy, Kenya, Nepal, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Honduras. The following IRU member organisations are represented:
🇰🇪 DGRV – Deutscher Genossenschaft und Raiffeisenverband, Kenya
🇦🇹 RWA Austria & Austrian Raiffeisen Association (ÖRV)
🇹🇭 ACCU – Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions
🇮🇹 FEDERCASSE
🇳🇱 Rabobank
🇳🇵 NCBL – National Cooperative Bank Limited
🇵🇭 NATCCO – National Confederation of Cooperatives
🇹🇼 CULROC – Credit Union League
🇭🇳 Consucoop
Over the next six months, the Raiffeisen Ambassadors trainees will explore and apply the cooperative principles and values inspired by Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen. Through interactive exchange sessions self learning units and peer learning, the participants will reflect on how cooperatives developed over time, can remain people and member centres, contribute also the question of sustainable development, and how relevant they are in today’s changing world.
The programme continues the IRU’s long-standing commitment to fostering international dialogue and strengthening the cooperative movement through education and capacity building.
We warmly welcome the new group of Raiffeisen Ambassadors and wish them an inspiring and successful training journey ahead!
