Now on Youtube: Indian Cooperative Network for Women Event on 65 UN Commission on Status of Women
On 24th of March, the IRU member “Indian Cooperative Network for Women” (ICNW) together with the “Working Women´s Forum” (WWF) organised a virtual parallel event from Chennai in the context of the sixty-fifth session of the Commission on the Status of Women. IRU Board member and president of WWF-ICNW Dr Nandini Azad, gave an insight into the impressive work of the WWF-ICNW model and its global impact. It was i.a. elaborated how the cooperative model can effectively intervene to help in particular poor women in creating a sustainable development, gender and equity model.
Many participants, among other Andreas Kappes, Secretary General of the IRU, Chitose Arai, JCCU Vice Chairperson of the International Cooperative Alliance and Luisa Volpe, Policy Head of World Farmers Organization, shared their thoughts and wishes with IRU Board Member Dr Nandini Azad.
