IRU Launches Raiffeisen Ambassador Training Third Round
The anticipated third training round of the IRU Raiffeisen Ambassador program has officially commenced end of May, marking another milestone in the initiative’s journey towards fostering cooperative knowledge building, training and collaboration. With 23 participants hailing from 9 esteemed member organizations, this round promises to be a dynamic and enriching experience for all involved.Involved organisations are Rabobank, Raiffeisenverband Italy, the BVR, Cera, DGRV, National Cooperative Bank Limited Nepal and the Austrian Raiffeisen Association ÖRV.
Designed to cultivate a cadre of skilled cooperators within the Raiffeisen network, the Ambassador program serves as a platform for knowledge building, professional development and networking. Participants engage in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities aimed at fostering their cooperative knowledge and enhancing their understanding of key cooperative topics, trends and challenges.
The inaugural session of the training served as a get-to-know and introductory session, setting the stage for the months ahead. Participants then dived into the first module of the training, delving into the founding concepts of cooperatives. This foundational knowledge lays the groundwork for a comprehensive exploration of cooperative principles and practices throughout the course.
Spanning a half-year duration, this intensive training program unfolds over monthly modules, each focusing on relevant cooperative topics and issues. From historical roots, to governance and membership structures to cooperative community engagement strategies, participants will engage in deep discussions and practical exercises aimed at equipping them with the tools and insights needed to drive positive change within their cooperative organizations.
