In October 2025, the Raiffeisen Camp took place for the fifth time – once again bringing together more than 40 young cooperative professionals eager to experience the roots and wings of the Raiffeisen idea. The three-day learning journey led participants through Frankfurt am Main, the Westerwald, and Montabaur Castle – key places symbolizing both the heritage and future of the cooperative movement.
A highlight was the series of interactive workshops, where participants explored key themes such as international cooperation, structural change, and organizational development – always viewed through the lens of cooperative principles and modern challenges.
In this context, Manuel Hanselmann from the Austrian Raiffeisen Association (ÖRV) together with IRU Coordinator Korbinian März, designed and facilitated the workshop “Cooperatives Across Borders.” The session offered an international perspective on how cooperatives around the world are addressing societal and economic issues. Working with case studies from different continents, the participants developed innovative ideas on how cooperative values can foster inclusion, sustainability, and community development. The workshop vividly demonstrated how the Raiffeisen idea continues to connect people and initiatives across borders.
The camp concluded with plenary presentations of the workshop results – full of creativity, inspiration, and enthusiasm for the cooperative future.
A heartfelt thanks goes to the German Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen Society (FWR) for organizing the event, to all contributors and supporters, and especially to the young participants for their energy, curiosity, and commitment.
