Recent IRU Connected with ÖRV a Big Success
Yesterday, the fifth IRU Connected session was held.
This session featured the work of our member organisation ÖRV- Austrian Raiffeisen Association.
The presentation was held by the vivid duo Justus Reichl, Secretary General, and Andreas Thürnbeck, speaker of the General Secretary. After a brief geographical mapping of Austria and the ÖRV, the audience learned a lot about the structure of ÖRV and its federal organisations.
Mr. Reichl and Mr. Thürnbeck gave us a very interesting insight into the current challenges facing the ÖRV. Particular emphasis was placed on the mission to make the name Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen popular again. While the cooperative business model is very well known in Austria, the name of Raiffeisen seems to be disappearing more and more.
Furthermore, actual projects of ÖRV were presented, dealing with the integration of more young people into the cooperative movement and founding new cooperatives, especially in the renewable energy sector.
The very lively discussion at the end of the session brought the exchange of this IRU Connected to a nice conclusion.
On behalf of IRU, we would like to thank Mr. Reichl and Mr. Thürnbeck for the terrific presentation!
The Powerpoint and further information can be found in our “IRU Connected” section.
The IRU-Connected virtual exchange is intended to happen once a month. Therefore, we are already looking forward to the next IRU Connected at the end of May (exact date TBD). Read more about it in our Events section. Then our Colleages from the FECOPROD will present their organisation.
