We are pleased to announce the upcoming Microfinance Lunch Break organized by Cera and BRS, focusing on the pivotal role of cooperatives in accelerating sustainable transitions across Africa.

Keynote Speaker:
Professor Patrick Develtere, a distinguished expert in international cooperation from the University of Leuven, Belgium will be the keynote speaker of the event. Professor Develtere has dedicated his career to civil society and cooperative movements globally. Notably, alongside Fredrick Wanyama of Maseno University in Kenya, he conducted the first Africa-wide research project on cooperatives, culminating in the 2008 publication, ‘Cooperating Out Of Poverty – The Renaissance of the African Cooperative Movement.’ Currently, they are finalizing an extensive investigation into the contemporary African cooperative landscape.
